About the Role

As Sr. Director of Merchandising for the International Franchise business, you will lead the global merchandising strategy for Gap brand across markets. This role is central to driving commercial success, ensuring regional relevance, and delivering a compelling customer experience across all franchise formats. You will be responsible for aligning global brand direction with local market needs, leading cross-functional collaboration, and building a high-performing merchandising team that embodies a performance-driven, growth-oriented mindset.

What You'll Do

  • Define and lead the seasonal and long-term merchandising strategy for international franchise markets for Gap brand.
  • Ensure alignment with global brand vision while tailoring assortments to regional consumer insights and commercial opportunities.
  • Oversee the development of regional assortments, franchise exclusives, and line plans that drive customer engagement and financial performance.
  • Partner with Global Merchandising and Design to influence product development and protect franchise-specific needs.
  • Lead the planning and execution of Franchise Market Weeks, ensuring compelling, commercially viable assortments are presented to partners.
  • Own pricing architecture and promotional strategies in collaboration with Planning and Global Merchandising.
  • Serve as the voice of Franchise in brand milestone meetings, influencing key decisions across Product, Production, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising.
  • Drive alignment and execution across internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless market experiences.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of Directors, Managers, and Merchants across geographies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze sales performance by category and region to identify growth opportunities and inform future strategies.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that enhance customer relevance, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes.
