    About the job

    In this role the sonographer, under the general supervision of an attending radiologist, and in accordance with department protocols, the ultra-sonographer utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data which is used by physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis resulting in quality patient care.

    Here's what you'll need

    Required:

    • Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience

    • Specific Degree(s): AMA approved Sonography program;

    • Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology 

    • Less than one year of previous job-related experience

    • New Graduates- 9-month ultrasound coursework experience including clinical rotation

    • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

    Licensure/Certifications

    Required:

    • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association ONLY

    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)-Specialization in Abdomen, Ob/Gyn or PS

    • Must be Breast (BR) registered

    • Other: New Graduate obtain certification within 3 months of hire

    • Note: Training on day shift for consecutive days

    Pay Range: $39.00 – $59.00 per hour 

    Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
