WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our office location.

About this Opportunity

Are you ready to play a handson role in strengthening how a critical business unit prepares for, responds to, and recovers from disruption? If so, the Business Continuity & Response Manager role within GCOO Resilience Enablement offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact on customer, colleague, and operational outcomes.

Sitting within GCOO Business Resilience Office (BRO), this role supports the delivery of the GCOO operational resilience framework, with a primary focus on business continuity and incident response capability. You will work closely with business areas, resilience specialists, and Group Incident Management to ensure resilience activities are embedded, maintained, and effective.

This is a deliveryfocused role operating in a fastpaced, regulated environment, requiring strong organisation, collaboration, and calm execution—particularly during incidents.

  • Deliver and maintain Business Continuity and incident response capability across GCOO, ensuring plans, people and processes are ready for disruption.
  • Maintain highquality Business Continuity Plans, Business Impact Assessments and Important Business Services activity, working closely with business stakeholders.
  • Support incident response at Bronze level (including rota participation) and coordinate response activity across Silver and Gold incidents when required
  • Plan and deliver resilience testing and exercises, capturing outcomes and learning to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement to build resilience awareness and ownership across GCOO.
  • Contribute to improving tools, templates and ways of working, collaborating across the BRO and wider Group resilience community.
  • Support a 24/7 local / Bronzelevel response capability, including rota participation
