About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer (PCB & Circuit) to support new product development (NPD) for air conditioner products, with a strong focus on component engineering, cost optimization, and part evaluation.
This role plays a key part in ensuring cost competitiveness, component reliability, and supply continuity, while driving engineering decisions and supporting smooth transition to mass production.
Key Responsibilities
Lead component specification evaluation and verification to support PCB and circuit design
Support NPD projects by ensuring design feasibility, cost targets, and project milestones are achieved
Drive cost optimization initiatives, including BOM analysis, modification, and second sourcing strategies
Manage component-related risks such as EOL (End of Life), part shortages, and alternative selection
Own and coordinate component qualification and part approval processes with cross-functional teams
Perform testing and validation according to engineering standards; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Analyze results and provide technical recommendations and improvement actions
Prepare and issue part approvals, technical instructions, and design updates to support mass production
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field
Minimum 3+ years of experience in PCB/circuit design, component engineering, or product development
Strong experience in component evaluation, validation, and BOM management
Hands-on experience with oscilloscope and electronic testing equipment
Familiarity with SAP (BOM management) is an advantage
Good understanding of EMI and electrical safety standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cost and risk awareness mindset
Good project management skills and ability to work under tight timelines
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Good command of English
