About Electrification + Energy Solutions
Caterpillar’s Electrification + Energy Solutions (E+ES) division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Primary focus of the role will be on product lines inclusive of battery technologies, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

Support complex technical product problem resolutions of Electrification and Energy Solutions (batteries, fuel cells, chargers, energy storage systems, and electric drives) product lines to ensure customers receive the product performance, reliability, durability, and availability expected as part of the Cat Brand Promise. 

Responsibilities Include but not limited too;

  • Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and repurpose of electrification products.

  • Perform live electrical (Live Work) on batteries.

  • Support dealer personnel in troubleshooting issues, answering technical inquiries, and deliver product training.

  • Communicate site Electrification and Energy Solution product issues, uptime status, and hour accumulation.

  • Conduct failure analysis and facilitate the return of Failed Parts to the factory for further analysis.                                                                

  • Conduct quality testing, data collection, and implementation of corrective actions (ICA’s, PCA’s)

  • Support regional industry shows, displays, and proving ground events as needed.                                

  • Provide dealer training based on Field Engineering expertise – Knowledge Transfer

  • Assist dealers with understanding and implementation of Service Publications, TIB, Service Magazines and Service Letters.

  • Technical conduit between the field and the factory  

  • Evaluate/visit customer sites and dealers to support Electrification and Energy Solutions 

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering or Technical Degree and/or equivalent experience desired

Additional Information

  • 30% - 75% travel required (international and domestic).

  • 5 days in office requirement
