We are seeking a skilled hands-on IS Specialist (Senior Salesforce Architect) to join our Applications Development & Intelligence Automation - CAT IT Division (Chennai).

The preference for this role is to be based out of WTC Centre Chennai-India

What you will do

Solar Turbines is seeking a hands-on Salesforce Lead Developer/Architect with 12+ years of experience designing and delivering secure, scalable enterprise Salesforce solutions across Sales, Service, and Marketing Clouds, integrated with systems such as ERP, PLM, CPQ, Master Data Management, and Workforce Management.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Advanced Flows and customizations.

Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:

• Partner with enterprise architects, application architects, and cross-functional teams to implement robust integrations using middleware, REST/SOAP APIs, and other technologies.
• Lead end-to-end technical design, architecture, and development for assigned projects
• Define and implement data modeling strategies in Salesforce, ensuring data integrity, normalization, and alignment with business needs.
• Establish and execute best practices for data migration, data mapping, and data transformation between systems.
• Collaborate with business SMEs and stakeholders to understand business process and integration requirements and translate them into secure, scalable, and high-performing technical designs leveraging the Salesforce platform.
• Provides hands-on leadership in developing and deploying integrated Salesforce solutions, with deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Advanced Flows, customizations, and SOAP/REST web services.
• Drive best practices for Salesforce coding, integration, release management, DevOps, and CI/CD processes.
• Mentor and guide the development team to adhere to coding standards and best practice.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of quality and adherence to established design patterns.  
• Proactively address technical debt and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop proof of concepts and recommend Salesforce platform improvements.
• Stay up to date on Salesforce releases and integration capabilities to drive continuous improvements.
• Support implementation across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Einstein, as required.

What you will have 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a STEM related field.
• 12+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience focusing on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including enterprise integration architecture and development with systems such as ERP, Master Data Management, Oracle CPQ, and PLM.
• 12+ years of experience in web services and integration technologies, including:
  • SOAP & REST web services
  • Custom APIs, JSON, and XML
  • Middleware tools (MuleSoft, Informatica IICS)
  • Salesforce Platform Events & Change Data Capture (CDC)
  • Complex enterprise integration projects
• 12+ years of experience with Visualforce, Apex (including code coverage), CRM Analytics, and advanced proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Dynamic Forms.
• 12+ years of Salesforce data architecture experience, including:

• Salesforce coding standards
• Object modeling and relationships
• Sharing and security models
• Governor limits
• Performance optimization strategies

• 10+ years of web application development experience using Java or C#, Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• 10+ years of experience in data modeling, SQL database development (procedures, functions, triggers), and largescale data conversion/ETL.
• 10+ years of experience leading workshops, gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and translating integration requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• 8+ years of experience with application authentication and platform security including MFA, OAuth, Microsoft Entra ID, SAML, SSO, TLS/SSL, and Salesforce Shield.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging Salesforce CLI, VS Code with Salesforce extensions, Event Monitoring, and AWS
• Proven Experienced enforcing data governance, security, and compliance standards across platforms and integrations.
• Strong proficiency in writing high-level and low-level technical design documents, including architectural diagrams and integration patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the technical design of scalable, enterprise grade solutions aligned with platform standards and long-term architectural strategy.
• Proven experience communicating with cross functional teams (business, QA, integration, security, infrastructure) to deliver end-to-end scalable solutions.
• Hands-on experience conducting code reviews ensuring quality, performance, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Hands-on in identifying and resolving complex technical issues, architectural risks, and system bottlenecks.
• Proactively stays current with emerging Salesforce technologies and mentors junior developers to promote continuous technical growth.
• Strong experience in environment and release management, source control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and tools such as Salesforce DX.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot application, integration, and configuration issues.
• Experience leading and mentoring onshore and offshore development teams, fostering collaboration and delivering high quality outcomes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting timelines.

• Solid Agile/Scrum skills.

Additional Information:

• Work Timings: 01:00 Noon -10:00PM IST
• This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
