About the role

Do you have a background in quality and product risk management, and would you like to work on ensuring product quality and end‑to‑end risk management, bridging product development and supply? Then join us as Quality Product Specialist, based in Brno.

At the VELUX Group, quality is key to what we do – our mindset, our products, and how we develop and produce them. In this role, you will contribute directly to ensuring high product quality in New Product Launch projects, working closely with product development teams in an international setup.

Meet your future team

You will be part of VELUX’s global quality organisation, with the position based in Brno. From here, you will work closely with product development and engineering colleagues primarily located in Denmark, supporting quality and risk management activities in New Product Launch projects.

The role operates in an international, project‑driven environment with strong cross‑border collaboration, structured quality processes and a focus on continuous improvement.

What will you do:

As Senior Product Quality Specialist, you will coordinate and ensure product quality deliverables in our New Product Launch projects.

More specifically, you will:

  • Ensure early stage product risk assessment and risk mitigation during the product design phase through close collaboration with our product development team and facilitation of SFMEAs and DFMEAs
  • Participate in Design for Manufacturing processes with focus on identifying and mitigating CTQs
  • Ensure transfer of documented high risks between FMEA documents
  • Contribute FMEA risks and other quality assurance issues to the Risk Manager’s “Risk Picture”
  • Develop quality deliverables in the Product Track
  • Consult with quality specialists focusing on supply quality deliverables to ensure bridging of Product Track and Supply Track
  • Oversee risks at the interfaces – between Supply and Design tracks and among different products in the design phase – and facilitate dialogue with relevant stakeholders
  • Assist the Risk Manager in calculating predictive Market Failure Rate (MFR) based on existing data and bring learnings from products in the market into new product risk assessments

What you will bring

You are a structured and collaborative professional who thrives in a project‑based environment and enjoys working with product quality, risk management and cross‑functional stakeholders.

We expect that you bring:

  • Technical acumen through your educational background in a technically relevant area, e.g. engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in product quality and product risk management, ideally in a multinational manufacturing or product development environment
  • Product risk management process knowledge and experience
  • A solid quality toolbox, including proficiency in FMEA and CTQs (DFMEA experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite)
  • Understanding of product interfaces and production processes
  • Experience collaborating closely with product development and supply organisations
  • Ability to work with data to support risk assessment and risk reduction
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to facilitate discussions and align different perspectives
  • Ability to communicate in English at a professional level; Czech language skills will be an advantage but are not a prerequisite
  • Ability to navigate uncertainty and deliver in a structured way within a project organization

Why join us

You will join an international company where commitment, collaboration and continuous improvement are core values, and where you are empowered to take ownership and make a difference. We offer you a wide range of benefits like for example meal allowance, flexible working schedule, benefit card and others.
