Role: Shipper/Receiver 

Job Summary: One of the key roles of the Shipper/Receiver is to assure safe loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products. Must be committed to safe forklift operation and have the ability to work from a pick list.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to safely operate a sit down forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification

  • Must be comfortable working outside in the elements

  • Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety

  • requirements for loading/unloading materials

  • Ability to think on your feet in identifying from the pick list where the material is located either in the yard or warehouse

  • Identify where product is located in the yard by utilizing the identifying signs

  • Able to use FIFO system correctly to pull pallets for loading

  • Guide the truck drivers where they need to go in order to be safely loaded/unloaded 

  • Must be willing to learn other job duties in shipping and scale house

  • Knowledge of railcar unloading process, Trackmobile operation and railroad safety

  • Must adhere to all IKO safety policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Must be legally authorization to work in U.S.

  • Must be able to pass a forklift certification class and test

  • Must be able to read a pick list

  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary, which could include weekends 

  • Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical

  • Must be able to lift up to 76 lbs. unassisted

Starting at: $21.63 per hour.
