Job Description:

The RN Triage position is responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs via telephone contact with patient/parent/guardian. The goal of the RN Triage position is to support clinic practices by using established protocols for communication with the patient/ parents/guardian in a way that supports patient-centered care. Proper triage and escalation of cases to the clinic providers is a key function of the position. Education: ▪ Required: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing Experience: ▪ Required: None ▪ Preferred: Previous nursing experience, especially in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams. • Exhibits ability to manage time and prioritize work. • Possess excellent time management skills • Refer and coordinate services in an effort to deliver integrated health services • Proficient using computers, including all Microsoft programs • Promote the mission and values of CoxHealth Licensure/Certification/Registration ▪ Required: Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri
