Position: Registered Nurse MNA
Department: Critical Care Unit
Schedule: 36 Hours (7p-7a) with weekend rotations
Position Summary:
The Critical Care RN assumes full responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to patients and their family members. Included in such responsibility is: the health maintenance; teaching; counseling; collaborative planning; comfort and restoration of optimal functioning. Responsibility often may additionally include the dignified death of our patients. Also, within the parameters of her/his previous and continuing education experiences and the Nurse Practice Act, may delegate nursing activities to other RNs and/or health care personnel. The Critical Care RN provides care that addresses the specific needs of all age groups from adolescent to elderly, and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The Critical Care RN incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission, vision, and values into nursing practice.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.
Experience: Critical care experience or completion of transition to Critical Care course. Must maintain required competencies to perform in a CCU setting.
Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, ACLS, TCAR or TNCC
Compensation Range:
$38.10- $77.63This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements. In addition, BMCHS offers generous total compensation that includes, but is not limited to, benefits (medical, dental, vision, pharmacy), contract increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family wellbeing.
