Summary
Manages patients associated with procedures and provides direct patient care by consulting with physicians and other nurses. Assists provider with fluoroscopic procedures/injections and administers infusions. Applies nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness.
Job Duties
- Administers infusions and performs appropriate patient monitoring pre, during, and post-infusion.
- Assists the physician with fluoroscopic procedures such as patient positioning, prepping, c-arm positioning, and post-procedure care.
- Develops, coordinates, and implements transfer/discharge planning throughout episode of care.
- Develops patient care plan based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions that prescribe interventions to attain expected outcomes.
- Assesses, plans, provides, and evaluates patient care in a holistic and systematic way.
- Coordinates and implements transfer/discharge planning post surgery.
- Collaborates and integrates contributions of patients and families into multidisciplinary patient care plan for patient support and recovery.
- Implements patient care plans according to patient priorities such as interventions identified through nursing diagnoses.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 2 years recent hospital and/or previous nursing practice experience.
- Ability to perform assessments and nursing functions as acquired in a basic nursing preparation program.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative such as HIPAA.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
