Role Overview

Our team loves technology as much as you do. We are looking for an experienced, high-energy senior quality engineer for our Digital team based in India.

You will have ownership of engineering design, coding, and implementation of Cloud Test Platform CI/CD automation. This includes tools and frameworks necessary to support testing and release builds. You will apply your technical knowledge, leadership skills, software development methodologies, best practices, and proven processes to consistently deliver a great quality product in a predictable manner.

The role is also an ambassador of quality engineering principles in collaboration with developers and product owners. The main goal of this role is to develop code test scenarios in a Cloud/Java/Terraform environment. This role will define test processes and goals together with development architects and ensure test plans are appropriate, including the review of plans done by developers. This role will also assist in the definition and creation of tests and scripts to support customer journey scenarios for contact center features.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and code test solutions around the Cloud Platform environment with test-as-infrastructure principles
  • Lead Quality and Automation initiatives across multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating process definition, best practices, and efficient usage of infrastructure
  • Participate in Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, and Increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of automation frameworks and tools through iteration/functionality testing
  • Work closely with operations and sustaining teams to ensure platform availability
  • Build sustainable engineering practices through, among other things, active code reviews, architecture discussions, guided by the selection of technologies, and mentorship
  • Ensure continuous resource utilization and drive continuous efficiency improvements
  • Think quickly, with the ability to make decisions with incomplete data
  • Bring energy, positivity, and drive to your team
  • Design, code, and automate application testing using Selenium, Playwright, and REST API
  • Build frameworks for different channels/platforms including SaaS, Mobile, Desktop, and Web applications

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years in a software engineering role with a track record of delivering highly scalable, highly available, and high-quality products
  • Experience with Web UI Automation using Selenium/Playwright
  • Experience in front-end testing of Web-based apps on desktop (Win, iOS) as well as on iPad/Android tablets, and mobile devices
  • Proven experience in building, maintaining, and supporting test solutions for enterprise SaaS applications
  • Solid knowledge of programming techniques and algorithms (OOP, multithreading, script languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python)
  • Knowledge of effective CI/CD practices
  • Hands-on experience managing and coding test infrastructure developed in Java
  • You are an Agile aficionado
  • You have strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • CS/EE degree or equivalent with 5+ years of proven related experience
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and positive attitude

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, or similar) on a day-to-day basis to augment and accelerate main QA tasks such as test planning, test case generation, and automation scripting
  • Experience working on an “AGILE + DEVOPS” process management methodology
  • Experience in building CI/CD automation pipelines
  • Cloud platform experience such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience managing and running multiple Infrastructure automation sprint teams
  • Experience in successfully leading architecture modernization initiatives
  • Experience managing test infrastructure for real-time SaaS products like Unified Communications systems or Contact Centers in a pure Cloud model
  • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure automation software tools
  • Experience in a Java Integrated Development Environment (Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Terraform and its custom providers
