Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Team Leader Cash Accounting Team
Type of Employment: Permanent
Location: Riga, Latvia
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee daily station accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely cash accounting and account closing activities
Monitor key controls, investigate financial discrepancies, and drive process quality, standardization, and automation initiatives
Lead, support, and motivate the team, ensuring effective collaboration, training, and performance management
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, communicate team status, and escalate unresolved issues when necessary
Support continuous improvement and ensure alignment with company objectives and compliance requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
University degree or higher education in economics or finance field
Strong background (2+ years) in accounting or audit field, preferably within an international work environment
Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
Solid knowledge of IFRS
Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/ year-end close process
Organizational and time-management skills
Decision-making skills, Self-driven, pro-active, high quality focus in deliverables and deadlines
Experience with driving the process improvement
Fluent English (both written and oral) to communicate with Business Units and colleagues in Europe and USA.
