Job Description

Position Summary:

The front line of Nightingale College’s Salesforce support operation. You’ll handle day-to-day user requests, perform routine configurations, manage user access, and learn the Salesforce ecosystem — including Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and telephony — from the ground up. Working under the guidance of the Administrator II and III, this role is designed for someone building a career in CRM administration who’s ready to grow into deeper technical ownership.

Role and Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for Salesforce support requests, resolving common issues and escalating complex problems to the Administrator II.

  • Triage and resolve incoming Salesforce support tickets from enrollment, student success, marketing, and other functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot user-reported issues including page layout problems, data discrepancies, report errors, and access problems.
  • Document issue resolution steps and update the team knowledge base.
  • Escalate complex or recurring issues with clear documentation to the Administrator II.

Configuration & User Access

Perform routine system configurations and manage user access under established governance standards.

  • Process user account creation, profile assignments, permission set changes, and role hierarchy updates aligned with security policies.
  • Execute routine configuration changes including field additions, page layout updates, list views, and report/dashboard modifications.
  • Assist with periodic access reviews and permission audits to support compliance requirements.
  • Manage basic data maintenance tasks including record updates, imports, and deduplication as directed.

Education Cloud Support

Support the day-to-day use of Education Cloud by functional teams, learning the platform’s data model and student lifecycle workflows.

  • Assist users with Education Cloud navigation, record management, and reporting within recruitment and admissions workflows.
  • Support basic configuration tasks within Education Cloud objects under Administrator II guidance.
  • Help test new Education Cloud features, Flows, and automation during release cycles.
  • Build familiarity with the Education Data Architecture (EDA) data model and key student lifecycle objects.

Integration Awareness & Data Quality

Support CRM data quality and build awareness of how Salesforce connects to other institutional systems.

  • Execute assigned data cleanup, deduplication, and record hygiene tasks within Salesforce.
  • Monitor integration dashboards and flag data sync anomalies between Salesforce and connected systems to the Administrator II or data team.
  • Help validate data accuracy across integrated systems as part of routine checks.
  • Build foundational understanding of how Salesforce connects to Banner, the data warehouse, and other campus platforms.

Documentation & Professional Growth

Maintain operational documentation and actively develop skills across the Salesforce ecosystem. Participate in Salesforce Trailhead, vendor training, and community resources. Collaborate with functional departments to understand business processes and build institutional knowledge that supports your growth toward Administrator II.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of Salesforce administration experience preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred (or obtained within 12 months of hire).
  • Basic understanding of Salesforce data structures, objects, fields, and relationships.
  • Foundational knowledge of Salesforce Flow and declarative automation concepts.
  • Awareness of Salesforce Education Cloud or Education Data Architecture (EDA) a plus.
  • Basic familiarity with Marketing Cloud concepts (data extensions, journeys, email sends) a plus.
  • Understanding of user access management including profiles, permission sets, and roles.
  • Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
  • Awareness of higher education regulatory compliance (FERPA, GLBA) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a growth mindset with genuine interest in building deeper CRM platform skills.
