Professional Server

PAY RANGE: Guaranteed $28+/hour.

Park Restaurant and Bar is an upscale restaurant on the south side of Columbia at Discovery Parkway. Park Restaurant & Bar is the place for folks who love local flavors and ingredients. Our small plate menu will entice you to enjoy old favorites and explore new seasonal items alongside friends and family. Our unique bar setting includes a bourbon display, 30 craft beers on tap, community table with fireplace and TVs to catch the Tigers’ latest win.

PROFESSIONAL SERVER POSITION:
We are currently looking for professional Servers! Our servers provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests! Each servers' primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time that they will want to return!

PROFESSIONAL SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide the best possible experience by going above and beyond to fulfil guest needs
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu and specials with the ability to recommend and upsell items to each guest.
• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with Park’s vision.
• Inform guests of menu changes and daily specials, and make menu suggestions tailored to your guests’ tastes
• Take drink and food orders, serve food or beverages to guests, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
• Check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service, and respond promptly and courteously to correct any problems.
• Collect payments from guests.
• Clear and clean tables or counters after guests have finished dining.
• Roll silverware, set up food stations or dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
• Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
• Perform cleaning duties during shift to ensure cleanliness of the restaurant.
• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure efficient operation of restaurant.

PROFESSIONAL SERVER QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST BE: 21 years of age
• 1+ year of experience as a server at a casual dining or fine dining restaurant
• Able to diffuse and problem solve guests issues
• Outgoing, extroverted personality!
• Positive attitude!
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and containers weighing up to 25 pounds
