About the role

Coilmaster Corporation

As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.

Who We Are

Coilmaster is a leading provider of custom heat transfer solutions, partnering with OEM and aftermarket customers across the country for more than 25 years. The company designs and manufactures custom heat exchangers, fluid coolers, remote air-cooled condensers, and related solutions for HVAC, refrigeration, industrial, data center, supermarket, and aftermarket applications.

At Coilmaster, our work is highly customized and customer-focused. We support complex manufacturing needs with engineered solutions, strong technical expertise, and a commitment to reliable delivery. This Master Scheduler role is an important part of that commitment, helping ensure production schedules, material availability, customer priorities, and operational goals stay aligned in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

As the Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the master production schedule across Coilmaster’s operations in Arizona, Florida, and Moscow, Tennessee. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Finance, and Operations to support on-time delivery, production flow, inventory control, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain the master production schedule to support customer delivery requirements and production goals.
  • Balance demand, capacity, labor, equipment, and material availability to optimize production flow.
  • Monitor daily order status and communicate scheduling risks, delays, constraints, or material shortages.
  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Finance, and Operations to support longer-term planning needs.
  • Adjust schedules as priorities shift based on customer needs, production capacity, and material availability.
  • Support visual scheduling processes on the production floor.
  • Ensure work orders, ERP planning parameters, BOM structures, routings, and inventory data are accurate and maintained.
  • Track inventory levels and identify shortages or excess inventory that may impact the production schedule.
  • Manage level loading and bottleneck scheduling to improve efficiency and schedule attainment.
  • Support Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with process improvements as the business transitions to Microsoft Dynamics 365.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 5 years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in job-based, custom, or engineered-to-order manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong ERP/MRP system experience required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Access skills preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, capacity planning, inventory control, BOM structures, routings, and material planning processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and high-value customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

What Will Help You Be Successful

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working through ambiguity. Because much of the work is custom and may involve one-off builds, this person must enjoy solving scheduling challenges and be able to quickly reprioritize based on production needs, customer impact, material availability, and business urgency.

Success in this role will require strong attention to detail, sound judgment, follow-through, and the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple moving pieces.

What You’ll Gain

  • The opportunity to support a critical production planning function in a custom manufacturing environment.
  • Visibility and partnership across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Production.
  • The chance to help improve scheduling processes during an ERP transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • A role where strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills can make an immediate impact.

Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class. If you require any reasonable accommodation to complete your application or any part of the recruiting process, please email your request to careers@marmon.com, and please be sure to include the title and the location of the position for which you are applying.
