About the role

Job Description

  • Maintains responsibility for one or more named accounts or an entire named territory.

  • Convert new accounts (hunting) and/ or manage existing accounts (farming).

  • Responsible to grow business through up-sell and cross-sell activities across the Agilent portfolio of products.

  • More than 50% of time spent with customers engaging across the sales process.

  • Coordinates Product/Market Specialists and Pre-Sales AE/ FAS/TSS and other functions needed to support sales activities and provide technical expertise.

  • Ensures customers are satisfied with service and support and builds strong relationships within accounts. [Specialty focused Account Managers should leverage this role].

  • Engagement in sales cycle: Opportunity Development, Solution Development, Negotiation & Close, Onboard & Implementation, Relationship Management.

  • Accountabilities: Generate revenue through new and existing accounts, Generate a healthy funnel opportunities, Balanced performance across product lines, Customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Incentive-eligible position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in technical sales, marketing, or technical support within scientific instrumentation, life sciences, or chemistry solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios involving both direct and indirect channel structures.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
