Q2 is seeking an ambitious and adaptable DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and team-based development. In this role, you will actively contribute to the design, implementation, deployment, and support of scalable infrastructure and CI/CD solutions across the Q2 platform. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery, automate operational processes, and ensure system reliability, security, and performance. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise in cloud technologies, containerization, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain DevOps automation, platform tooling, and internal engineering utilities of moderate complexity.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, packaging, artifact publishing, deployment, rollback, and release workflows.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and environment management using infrastructure-as-code tools, scripting, and reusable platform patterns.
- Support containerized application delivery using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Nomad, or similar technologies.
- Build integrations with internal systems, cloud services, source control platforms, artifact repositories, monitoring tools, and deployment platforms.
- Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline failures, deployment issues, infrastructure problems, networking behavior, and production support incidents across development and production environments.
- Improve observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and operational readiness practices.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience, deployment reliability, release quality, and supportability.
- Ensure tooling, automation, and infrastructure practices comply with Q2 standards for security, availability, confidentiality, privacy, and change management.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, knowledge sharing, and platform engineering best practices.
- Assist and mentor teammates by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and recommendations for sustainable DevOps practices.
- Participate in occasional on-call or emergency support rotations as needed, including flexible hours for critical production or release support.
