This leadership role is located in Clearfield, UT.
Position Summary / Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for a section of operations execution in the Freeport Composite Center (FCC). The primary purpose of this position is to lead a cost center for a program(s). The candidate will be measured on both financial and non-financial indicators directly related to safety, quality, on-time delivery, employee engagement, and cost profitability. The Candidate’s other primary roles include both creation of strategic vision (long-term) and tactical management (short-term) for the assigned programs within FCC.
· Has overall responsibility for execution of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Employee, and Cost objectives, along with Employee Engagement for a cost center with-in the FCC site.
· Strong focus on safe work environment, Zero Defects, and continuous improvement activities.
· Optimizes product flow, production rates, and product mix to meet customer demands.
· Responsible for proactive resource management to mitigate production schedule risks.
· Support a work environment characterized by employee involvement and participative management to encourage the highest level of employee commitment and cooperation
· Manage a cost center’s staffing levels to support customer requirements while maintaining efficient operations.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of of related manufacturing experience and 2 years of leadership experience, or a master's degree with 3 years of related manufacturing experience and 2 years of leadership experience. In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have a high school diploma and 9 years of related manufacturing experience.
Proven experience with mid to high rate production programs.
Demonstrated consistent use of the following competencies: Business acumen, composure, delegating, interpersonal savvy, planning, time management, timely decision making, presentation skills.
Demonstrated commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
Understanding and use of root cause analysis.
Experience manufacturing Composites structures.
Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering or other related disciplines.
Experience in implementing continuous improvement.
Demonstrated use of production control tools (e.g., schedule, MRP, manpower forecasts.
Experience in labor and capacity forecasting.
Demonstrated success in maximizing resources and throughput.
Demonstrated ability to remove waste from production process.
A demonstrated progressive increase in responsibilities within operations organization.
