About the role

Title:

Senior Capture Manager

KBR’s Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of War, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support. As a trusted partner with a proven history in mission technology, KBR collaborates closely with clients to develop innovative and effective solutions. With a strong ethical framework, KBR prioritizes data security, privacy, and responsible information management to ensure mission success.

KBR is seeking a Senior Capture Manager to drive growth across a Navy-focused portfolio. This role leads full lifecycle capture—from opportunity identification and shaping through proposal and award—for complex services contracts (CPFF, FFP, IDIQ). The ideal candidate has a proven track record of winning new business, building pipelines, shaping requirements, and leading compliant, competitive proposals. This position works closely with program, technical, and business teams to ensure captures translate into executable, high-performing programs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead capture efforts across Navy and DoD opportunities from shaping through award
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline aligned to growth priorities
  • Develop capture strategies including win themes, competitive positioning, and price-to-win
  • Lead proposal execution across technical, management, staffing, and cost volumes
  • Direct color team reviews and ensure compliant, high-quality submissions
  • Develop pricing strategies and cost volumes in coordination with finance and operations
  • Establish and manage teaming partners and strategic relationships
  • Ensure alignment between capture approach and program execution

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA and 10+ years of experience OR AA/AS & 14 years of experience
  • Capture management, business development, or proposal leadership experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated success winning federal services contracts (prime and IDIQ/MAC)
  • Experience with price-to-win development and cost volume leadership
  • Strong knowledge of federal acquisition and proposal processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Navy customers or Department of War (DOW) organizations.
  • Experience with major contract vehicles such as SeaPort‑NxG or OASIS/OASIS+.
  • Background spanning both capture leadership and program execution roles.
  • Experience developing and managing teaming strategies and strategic partnerships.

Basic Compensation: $143,000-$195,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.

Benefits: KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include a 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule. We support career advancement through professional training and development.
