Role

The Residential Doorperson is responsible for warmly welcoming residents and guests, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience.

This position has an hourly compensation rate of $31.29 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the residence entrance and surrounding areas.
• Start each shift with pre-shift meetings and ensure proper handover is completed.
• Be knowledgeable of all in-house and arriving residents.
• Warmly welcome guests arriving and bid a fond farewell to departing guests, providing them with a genuine arrival and departure journey.  
• Open residential entrance doors for all guests who enter and exit the property. 
• Accommodate all Residents’ requests expediently and courteously.
• Assist guests in and out of their vehicles.
• Communicate parking procedures and prices to guests. 
• Direct traffic of vehicles at residential entrance and be mindful of bus traffic and bus passengers. 
• Hold vehicles at residential entrance areas in accordance with department policy and procedures.

Requirements

• Two years of luxury hotel or condominium concierge experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
• Able to stand for entirety of shift.
• Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Flexible schedules and hours, and willingness to work on weekends & holidays is required.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain complete knowledge of hotel offerings and comply with all Aman New York’s departmental Policies, Procedures, Standard Operating Manuals, Checklists, and Job Duties as provided by Aman New York. 
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment and courteous, genuine service with guests and fellow Team Members. 
• Ability to handle guest requests and concerns in an efficient, calm, and genuine manner.
