As part of our expansion in Brazil, we are seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to support the launch and establishment our innovative therapies in areas of high unmet medical need. This is for the Recife territory.
This is a highly visible, field-based role with the opportunity to contribute to improving patient outcomes by supporting the integration of innovative therapies into clinical practice. The KAM plays a key role in shaping the local treatment landscape through strong partnerships with healthcare stakeholders and scientific engagement.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a defined territory and building trust-based relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, contributing to informed clinical decision-making through the delivery of scientific data and information.
Acting as a strategic and consultative partner, the KAM engages healthcare professionals with relevant insights and fosters a strong understanding of the disease area, clinical profile, and positioning of argenx therapies.
In line with argenx’s values, the KAM demonstrates a collaborative, patient-focused and innovative mindset, working in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders to co-create solutions and drive meaningful impact.
The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams (Medical, Commercial, Legal, Compliance) to ensure coordinated, compliant, and patient-centered engagement.
Territory
Field-based role covering an assigned territory in Brazil
Regular interaction with healthcare professionals, institutions, and relevant stakeholders.
Occasional presence at the São Paulo office
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with brand strategy
Drive disciplined execution, translating insights and performance indicators into innovative actionable improvements
Identify opportunities and anticipate trends within the treatment landscape
Build strong, ethical relationships through regular engagement and high-quality scientific exchange
Maintain deep scientific knowledge of the disease area, therapies, and clinical evidence
Engage and support Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in line with compliance standards
Map accounts, stakeholders, and institutional dynamics across public and private settings
Co-create and coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure aligned and effective execution
Participate in scientific events and continuously strengthen medical and technical expertise
Provide field insights to inform tactical and strategic planning
Maintain accurate CRM data and apply segmentation to prioritize stakeholders effectively
Ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with territory priorities
Compliance & Governance
Ensure all activities comply with company policies and local regulations
Adhere to governance processes for stakeholder engagement and materials approval

Education & Experience
Degree in Life Sciences, Business or related field
Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry - specialty, rare disease or institutional environments preferred
Experience in product launches is a plus
Fluent in Portuguese and intermediate/advanced English
Must have valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
This is a Field-based role, with occasional presence at the São Paulo office.
Travel required within territory (50–80%), with overnight stays as needed.
Accountable for territory execution and stakeholder engagement.
This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentives program.
The hiring range displayed above is the range of possible base pay compensation that argenx believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting. The hiring range is based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and demonstrated skills. argenx may pay more or less than the posted range and this range may be modified in the future.
