Job Description:
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer, who will play a critical role in safeguarding systems, networks, and data by performing comprehensive vulnerability management and security assessments. This role will be on-site in San Diego, CA and requires an active secret clearance. International travel may also be required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform comprehensive vulnerability management and security assessments to safeguard systems, networks, and data.
- Identify and mitigate risks across software, hardware, and networking components.
- Conduct system security testing during lab-based and site-based assessments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize remediation efforts and ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Maintain and update RMF documentation, including Security Controls artifacts, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
Here’s What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security or related science degree or 3 years equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting ATO efforts by providing technical input and security control implementation evidence for NIST 800-53 compliance
- Experience conducting STIG checks to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, utilizing industry best practices and tools to update systems and mitigate security risks
- Security+ Certification
Bonus Points If You Have:
- CISSP or CISA Certifications
- Linux+ or RHSA Certifications
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience with knowledge of SELinux (MAC and DAC security mechanisms)
- Previous networking experience
Eligibility Requirements:
- US Citizenship required, dual citizens not eligible
- An active Secret clearance is required for this role with ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Must have an active US passport and able to travel internationally

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
