Marketing Coordinator at Metropolis at Metrotown

What this job involves:

The Marketing Coordinator is a member of the Property Administration team located at Metropolis at Metrotown. This role supports Metropolis at Metrotown’s marketing program by effectively implementing JLL’s marketing pillars (Leasing, Sales, and Revenue), tools, and core practices to drive results and meet client expectations. This individual will participate in planning and executing in-mall marketing events and provides operational support to the marketing department while ensuring seamless implementation of the property marketing initiatives.                                  

What you day-to-day will look like:

  • Collaborate with marketing team to implement property marketing strategies.

  • Oversee digital initiatives including mall website, digital screen content, and social media.

  • Participate in all phases of events and programs, from planning to post-event analysis.

  • Manage logistics for all in-mall campaigns including installations, load-in/out, print production, site setup, and brand ambassadors.

  • Support retailers with authorized special events and the amplification of their brand.

  • Support Guest Services with the Gift Card program and assist with customer feedback.

  • Procure supplies and promotional goods for marketing initiatives

  • Draft communications and documentation related to marketing initiatives.

  • Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications 

  • Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience in marketing, events, retail, digital marketing, or advertising. 

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience. 

  • Strong organizational and event coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently. 

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure, maintaining accuracy and quality. 

  • Technologically savvy and resourceful, with experience in content creation for digital platforms, including web and social media. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Adobe, Canva and Word Press.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Skilled storyteller with persuasive abilities.

  • Professional judgment, strong work ethic, solution focused, a results-driven attitude and problem solver.

  • Drive to exceed expectations and continuously improve. 

  • Strong interest in customer service and dedication to task execution. 

  • Collaborative and team-oriented with a positive attitude, sense of humor, and resilience. 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with peers, management, contractors, and support teams. 

  • Attention to detail and commitment for task completion.

  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. 

  • Conduct regular mall walk-throughs to maintain marketing signage and installations. 

  • Flexible to work weekends and evenings as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Shopping center experience

Estimated compensation for this position:

60,000.00 – 70,000.00 CAD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
