Night ShiftSummary: The RN - Charge Nurse shall be responsible to facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for the provision of quality patient care during the assigned shift. This individual is responsible to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and will serve as a mentor to the staff. The Charge Nurse shall demonstrate the consistent ability to act as a role model by providing direction in the application of the nursing process, quality improvement standards, and organizational and department goal and objectives in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education/Experience: Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred. Minimum 1 year staff nurse experience required. License/Certification: Active RN licensure required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
