Description

As part of the Core Operating System team, your challenge is to ignite the full power of Apple hardware for demanding user experiences while operating elegantly within tightly constrained environments. Following a security and safety first mindset, you'll design and implement kernel separation technologies that enable a safe, secure and high-performance experiences across Apple's product line. This posting is for an existing opportunity at Apple. For postings in Ontario, qualified candidates can expect a hiring rate up to the midpoint of the pay range. On an exceptional basis, candidates with significant experience and skills for the role may be paid up to the range maximum.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience Experience with memory management, process isolation and privilege separation Strong experience developing software for embedded systems with resource constraints (CPU and memory) Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to collaborate across teams Proficient with C

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent understanding of operating system kernel internals and architecture Low-level systems experience such as device driver development, board support packages, or CPU/SoC architecture work Experience with virtualization technologies Experience in embedded firmware development and real-time operating systems Certification experience (Security, Safety or general ISO certification) is a plus
