Job Description Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Patient Care Solutions (PCS) and Imaging modality and team at GE Healthcare; a team that partners with our customers to tackle the evolving challenges of global healthcare. In this role, you’ll be part of the Field Services team which focuses on maintenance and diagnostics of PCS and Vascular systems.As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for PCS and Imaging systems within the North West and neighbouring regions. You will develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with customers ensuring customer satisfaction and equipment functionality.
Our roles work in true partnership with our customers, and to enable successful customer impact, some travel will be required across the territory and into neighbouring regions. The level of travel estimated for this position is 40%, which we will continue to review to ensure we are working as efficiently as possible, whilst also fostering a healthy work life balance. Job Description
Responsibilities
Maintain all models specific to a modality in the assigned area. Performing total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
Maintain daily interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues, to ensure satisfaction of primary customers.
Responsible for Warranty and Preventative Maintenance Service contract cost control.
Complete all administration tasks on time (e.g., ensure timely same day completion of Field Updates and Service inspections documentation for assigned accounts).
Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.
Qualifications and experience
Qualified Technician / Engineer or equivalent professional experience in medical devices, advantage: relevant Field Service experience
Technical analysis skills, mixed with a high level of communication skills
Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision, high work standards and quality
Fluent in English
Valid and clean driving license and current driving experience
