The Senior Supply Chain Analyst – Workforce Insights uses analytical methods and a variety of tools to uncover labor optimization opportunities and support strategic supply chain initiatives across the distribution network. This role combines strong technical capabilities with business acumen to transform complex data into insights that drive operational improvements and productivity. The analyst will collaborate across functions and levels of the organization, support high-visibility workforce initiatives, and develop tools that inform decision-making for senior leadership and operational partners across Supply Chain. This position requires a self-starter who can prioritize and execute tasks independently, aligning their work to evolving business goals. The analyst will also contribute to team development by sharing technical knowledge and supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
35% – Insight Generation & Operational Analysis: Analyze labor KPIs, operational trends, and workforce behaviors to identify opportunities for increased productivity and efficiency. Develop actionable recommendations that support process improvements, cost savings, and program success.
25% – Strategic Program Support & Stakeholder Collaboration: Support key labor initiatives by partnering with internal teams, HR, Finance, and field leadership to ensure accurate reporting and actionable insight delivery. Translate complex data into clear narratives that influence decisions at all organizational levels.
20% – Dashboard & Reporting Development: Design, build and maintain business dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that track key labor and operational KPIs. Ensure consistency, accuracy and usability for end users across levels of technical fluency. Support ongoing enhancements and scalability of reporting tools.
10% – Process Improvement & Technical Innovation: Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks, optimize data workflows, and enhance how insights are delivered to stakeholders. Recommend and prototype new solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
10% – Mentorship & Collaboration: Share technical knowledge and best practices with junior analysts. Build subject matter expertise and contribute to team documentation, standards, and learning.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
This position reports to Manager- Workforce Insights
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Math, Finance or related quantitative field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio)
Advanced Skills in: SQL, BigQuery, Tableau, Python, VBA, and/or similar tools with a demonstrated ability to learn new technical skills and programs
Work experience with MS Excel, MS Access, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, or comparable database systems
Prior direct experience in analyzing the relevant subject matter (e.g. Supply Chain, Labor, Operations, etc.)
Background in project management and cost/benefit analysis.
Familiarity with Labor Management or Workforce Management applications
Experience with Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodolog
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
