Job Description

MongoDB is looking for a strategic, high-impact Regional Marketing Specialist to own and execute the end-to-end marketing strategy for Iberia. This role requires a proactive marketer who can partner closely with the Sales and broader GTM teams to drive market expansion and revenue growth through an integrated, campaign-led approach.

You will play a pivotal role in accelerating growth by balancing executive engagement with a strong developer enablement strategy. Your mission is not only to win the hearts of C-level decision-makers, but also to empower and upskill developer communities ensuring MongoDB becomes their platform of choice.

This is a highly visible, high-impact role requiring autonomy, business acumen, and a strong positive mindset.

The role will report to the Lead, Regional Marketing for SEMEA.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Madrid for our hybrid working model.

Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in a technology company (B2B SaaS preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the Iberia market (Spain & Portugal).
  • A true commercial marketer who connects marketing strategy to revenue outcomes.
  • Proven experience partnering effectively with sales teams.
  • Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and sales leadership using data-driven insights.
  • Comfortable engaging with C-level audiences.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • High level of professional maturity and resilience.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, can-do mindset with strong energy and optimism.
  • Solutions-oriented and resilient under pressure.
  • Good sense of humor and ability to foster strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Eloqua, Wrike, Splash (preferred).
  • Native Spanish and fluent English (mandatory).

Core Responsibilities & Position Expectations

Strategic Ownership

  • Fully own the development and execution of the Iberia Regional Marketing Plan, aligned to revenue targets, pipeline generation, and market expansion
  • Tailor marketing strategies to key Iberian verticals such as Financial Services, Public Sector  and Enterprise

Strategic Business Partner

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Regional Directors, Sales Leaders, and Account Executives
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities within strategic accounts and key industry segments
    Align marketing initiatives directly to sales priorities and commercial objectives

Developer & Community Enablement

  • Lead initiatives to upskill and engage the developer ecosystem
  • Organize technical workshops, Dev Days, community events, and hands-on sessions to drive grassroots adoption
  • Build long-term relationships within innovation communities

Data-Driven Execution

  • Leverage intent signals and attribution tools (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Eloqua, etc.) to design targeted campaigns
  • Measure ROI and continuously optimize programs to maximize business impact
  • Transition reporting from activity-based metrics to outcome-based performance measurement

C-Level & Executive Engagement

  • Design and execute high-impact executive programs targeting CIOs, CTOs, and business decision-makers
  • Foster peer-to-peer engagement and strategic modernization conversations

Digital & Campaign Excellence

  • Deploy integrated digital campaigns to nurture technical champions and influence buying committees
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all channels

One-Team Orchestration

  • Lead cross-functional coordination with Partner Marketing (AWS, Azure, GCP), Developer Advocacy, Customer Success, and Global Marketing
  • Ensure a unified and cohesive MongoDB presence across all touchpoints
  • Travel required 25% time
