About the Role
In this role, you are responsible to support quality initiatives at the factory level through process monitoring, capability evaluations, performance reporting, benchmarking best practices and training of GIS and factory staff (Vendor Key Representative, Factory Key Representative and Designated auditor) for the assigned region/country. You will work with a clear objective of improving overall product quality as measured through final inspections, DC audits and In-market reports.What You'll Do
Provide vendors/factories with the knowledge and resources to support multiple Brands/Categories in product development, risk management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA)/Corrective Action Plan (CAP) activities
Support vendors/factories to maximize quality by applying consistent quality standards and overseeing bulk production
Confirm and monitor progress of ‘high risk’ products at factory
Oversee preparation and implementation of RCA/CAP activity at the factory
Leverage, authorize and monitor 3rd party inspections to improve quality performance at factories
Able to communicate difficult concepts in a simple manner
Participate in projects and assignments of diverse scope
Who You Are
Experience in quality assurance and/or factories preferably in a buying office with strong knowledge of factory operations and process; Formal qualifications in Textile / Garment / Footwear would be preferable
Knowledge and understanding of work specific to manufacturing processes within the apparel/non-apparel industry and specific knowledge for the respective category; Strong technical product skills
Proven ability in communicating effectively and making recommendations cross functionally in a matrix environment while effectively managing multiple challenges
Present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner
