About the role

NVIDIA is building a Taiwan-based team, working with counterparts in the United States, to support CPU programs. This role owns system-level feature readiness during the pre-silicon phase. It works with the broader team, architects, and team leads to define system-level test cases and ensure they are written, automated, and executed before silicon. The role is suited to a firmware or embedded engineer who can work across varied code bases and modules and use AI to develop tools and solve problems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own system-level features for CPU programs during the pre-silicon phase.
  • Work with the broader team, architects, and team leads to define system-level test cases.
  • Ensure system-level tests are written, automated, and executed in pre-silicon.
  • Work across varied code bases and modules to solve system-level problems.
  • Develop tools and use AI to solve engineering problems.
  • Strong AI-enabled skills and thinking - use AI to accelerate analysis, exploration, and documentation while maintaining rigor, originality, and judgment that do not come from AI.

How you'll use AI in this role:

  • Treat AI as a core part of the workflow for:
    • Developing tools that support system-level feature test development and execution.
    • Accelerating analysis and problem solving across varied code bases and modules.
    • Applying judgment to know when AI output should be trusted, verified, or overridden.
    • Sharing effective AI patterns, prompts, and tools with fellow engineers.

What we need to see:

  • B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of relevant firmware or embedded engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with broader engineering teams, architects, and team leads.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across varied code bases and modules to solve problems.
