SUMMARY
The Lead Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for building and optimizing distributed, fault-tolerant systems that support real-time data flows and mission-critical services. This role drives technical excellence in Kafka operations, automation, and security integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES • Act as domain expert on Azure Cloud for the Q2 organization • Support product development teams with cloud infrastructure and monitoring • Maintain standards for secure, highly available infrastructure • Scale our application infrastructure to ensure a positive customer experience • Lead projects to improve our infrastructure • Collaborate independently with partner teams • Contribute technical expertise to incident response and architectural discussion • Improve monitoring and alerting systems EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience of experience; or equivalent related work experience primarily with C#, .NET and Azure • 8-12 years of experience of professional experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS) • 8-12 years of experience of professional experience working with CI/CD pipelines on any platform (GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins, AzureDevops) • Proficiency in one or more programming (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Go, JavaScript) and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell) languages • Empathy for the end user and a desire to measure your work by both the customer value and technical quality • Enthusiasm for the field and professional development/improvement outside the day-to-day job • Strong preference for automating repetitive manual tasks • Experience in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technology (Terraform or similar) • Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technology • Experience with monitoring, logging, and dashboard technologies • Experience leading cross team projects and mentoring other engineers

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
