Consumer Solutions Manager, Product & SalesOverview:The Customer Solutions Center sits at the intersection of product, services, marketing and, most importantly, our customers and prospects. We have a front-row seat for how our capabilities are driving impact in industry. From our core products that are at the heart of everyday commerce to our solutions that provide flexibility and personalization, Consumer Solutions Managers play a vital role in driving influence and revenue for Mastercard.
The Consumer team is focused on profitably growing Mastercard's Consumer Credit, Debit and Prepaid core business in the division by developing and enhancing consumer products value propositions that address the needs of issuers and consumers. This group actively collaborates with a wide variety of internal Mastercard teams as well as external customers, partners and vendors.
The Consumer Solutions, Manager plays an important role in executing this vision, ensuring Mastercard remains competitive by leading Spain and Portugal opportunities for new products and optimizing performance of the existing ones while, supporting issuer relationships, driving business development and managing the consumer product line and strategy.
This role will work closely with the rest of Customer Solutions Center colleagues, Product teams, Account Management teams and external partners: Financial Institutions and Digital Partners.
Role
As Consumer Solutions, Manager, you will serve as the subject matter expert for Consumer Core products in Spain and Portugal. You will own strategy, enablement, adoption, lifecycle management, and customer readiness, ensuring every solution lands with excellence and delivers meaningful value to our clients and to Mastercard.
In this client-facing position, you will:
Act as the market expert on MasterCard Core products, benefits and solutions
Work together with the Account Manager and the Business Development teams in Spain and Portugal to present Mastercard products, optimize issuer programs, with focus on active and new accounts, and growth
Work with CSC lead in the definition of the go-to-market strategy, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to successfully execute and manage key strategic initiatives
Stay informed on consumer trends, industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure Mastercard’s solutions align with them
Pipeline & Deal Execution: Manage and progress the deal pipeline, driving new agreements and improving conversion rates.
Evaluate business cases, new business models, agreements and partnerships to improve solution's footprint and competitiveness
Lead market analysis and recommend ways to leverage market analysis to inform product and go-to-market decisions
Take responsibility for driving new product revenue
Recommend needs-based solutions in coordination with Product, Innovation, Services and Marketing
Support RFP responses / creation of value propositions for accounts opportunities
Provide input to the product/solution groups and segment leads to enhance their product/solution and segment strategy to meet the needs of the segment
Operational management of the country for consumer products and local benefits
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
Knowledge of payment solutions and the Spanish and Portuguese payment ecosystem
Communication skills to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
Have experience executing business development across different payment types and customer segments
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning of Mastercard consumer products and services
Have experience executing strategies into clear action plans
Understanding of technical basics, APIs, process flows
Ability to comprehend the business, market context and customer needs to drive and architect integrated and innovative solutions
Experiences and other requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of card payment industry and payment solutions
Strong sales / business development skills in addition to product expertise required to interact with senior management of customer banks;
A problem solver, keen to understand customer challenges – inquisitive, and able to simplify complexity
Ability to understand the customers’ product strategy and ability to position MasterCard offerings within it
Strong thought leadership and ability to influence others, ability to manage cross-functional projects
Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a highly cross-functional environment
High self-motivation and ability to work autonomously; “can do” attitude; strong customer and results orientation
Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.
