Your role and responsibilities

This role will be in ABB industrial Process Automation and Energy Industries supporting Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Food & Beverage and Life Science & Pharma Segment, therefore, experience in industrial Process Automation is a Must-have.

As Technical Account Manager , you will have the opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty in your assigned accounts. Each day, you will assist with customers’ technical requests and engage with colleagues to take care of any technical issues. You will also showcase your expertise by managing service contracts deliverables, on time delivery, customers’ requirements, and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPI), while keeping track of performance metrics and communicating progress to internal and customer stakeholders.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the PAEN in Egypt as a TAM for Chemical & Life Sciences Segment is responsible for driving service revenue growth and customer satisfaction within assigned chemical processing and life sciences customer accounts (Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Food & Beverage, Life Science, Pharma) in North & Central Africa Cluster. Main stakeholders are Installed Base customers, Service sales manager, Sales Manager, Segment Managers, Bid and Proposal and Service manager

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Supporting the customer in a proactive manner by anticipating the customer’s needs and leveraging familiarity with their assigned accounts.

  • Ensuring that the plant fleet under service agreement receives evolution plans and life cycle reports supported by technology segment experts.

  • Measuring, reporting, and presenting the value of the services delivered to key customer stakeholders ranging from Maintenance Managers to Plant Managers.

  • Identifying service and system sales opportunities to expand ABB’s value to the customer and for growing the service contracts with their assigned customers.

Qualifications for the role.
  • Minimum 5–8 years in technical account management, field service, engineering support, or customer-facing technical roles.

  • 3+ years in chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food production, or similar environments (required).

  • 2+ years in service sales, account management, or customer relationship management (preferred).

  • Experience with batch production processes or continuous process manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance documentation and audit processes (preferred).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field (required).

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering or Chemistry (acceptable if compensated by experience).

  • Understanding of GMP, FDA, REACH, or similar regulatory frameworks (preferred).

  • Fluent in written and spoken in both Arabic and English.

  • Intermediate level in French preferred for Francophone Africa customer interactions..
