Description of Work
***This is a readvertisement. Previous applicants do not need to reapply to be considered.***The Food Distribution Division contributes to the nutritional wellbeing of the citizens of North Carolina by distributing USDA Foods to eligible Recipient Agencies. Food Distribution administers six food programs for USDA.
Duties involve loading and unloading USDA Foods in a Food Distribution Warehouse. This position is responsible for the clerical duties associated with loading and unloading USDA Foods. Duties also include maintaining a clean warehouse and equipment, following proper storage practices, conducting accurate monthly inventory counts, and working in a freezer and cooler for an extended period of time.

Must possess a valid NC Driver's license.

Recruitment Range: $31,200 - $40,005
Must be able to operate a forklift
Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Must be able to read and use basic math skills
Must be able to follow OSHA and HACCP Guidelines
