VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center is hiring a part time Veterinary Assistant to join our team! We are seeking an individual who is positive, energetic, eager to learn, and works well on a team.

Located in Shelton, our veterinary specialists, technicians and pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that our patients receive the best in preventive and healing care.

Schedule: part time, Thurs - Sat 9pm-5am .
Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00 / hr based on skill set, and experience.
Veterinary Assistant duties include:
Providing nursing care for all inpatient's
Full technician skill utilization
Collecting patient histories & physical exams
Medication refills, and pet parent communication
Proficient in medical calculations
Venipuncture / IVC placement
Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
Providing compassionate care for all patients
Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively communicate with others in a fast-paced environment.
