Position Summary: Caremark LLC., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Irving, TX: Sr. Cloud Engineer to build, develop, and maintain cloud-native software web applications and systems in support of CVS business needs and end customers. Duties include: assist with cloud-native application development, web development, API integration and scaling them in real time to meet internal users and end-customer customer needs; participate in entire software lifecycle development, testing, CI/CD and production operations; develop large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and addresses reporting needs; write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing; collaborate with Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes; leverage knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and designing and optimizing queries to build data pipelines; utilize programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems; build data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers; integrate data from a variety of sources and ensure adherence to data quality and accessibility standards; analyze current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions; and experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to provide optimal solutions that meet the requirements dictated by the model/use case. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology Management, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Position also requires two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Java, Python, or Node.js; XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript; JIRA, Rally, or Confluence; “Big data” platforms including Hadoop (Azure, GCP, or AWS); Spark, PySpark, or Scala; Domain support for healthcare or retail organization; Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions; Contributing to largescale applications development, data science, or data analytics projects; Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases; and Cloud components including cluster management Pay Range: $112923.00/year to $185400.00/year.This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
