BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Intern for Vendor Planner at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Project:

The main goal of this internship is to support the Vendor Planning team in daily operational activities related to supplier coordination, material planning, and production support.

The intern will gain hands-on experience in automotive supply chain operations, contributing to the continuity of material flow and production stability.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in monitoring supplier deliveries and material availability
  • Ensure timely follow-up with suppliers to avoid production disruptions
  • Contribute to the accuracy of planning data and reporting
  • Improve visibility of potential supply risks
  • Develop knowledge of vendor planning processes within the automotive industry
  • Provide operational support to ensure production continuity

Profile:

  • Academic background in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar
  • Basic understanding of supply chain processes and production planning
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with Excel (basic to intermediate level)
  • Interest in the automotive industry
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and sense of responsibility
  • English proficiency (spoken and written)
