Senior Operations Manager – Transfer Agency

General description of the job

The role is accountable for the operational functions; staff management, development of the team and change management;

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of investor transaction processing, reporting and dealing with ad hoc client requests;

• To manage operational processes and deliveries for allocated clients from pre-launch to liquidation;

• Ensure team operates within a clearly defined, documented and tested control environment;

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally;

• Identify areas for improvement in processes, personnel and structure;

• Manage multiple client relationships ensuring constant liaison with both the client and the relevant RM and TA VP ensuring consistency and clarity of service;

• Ensuring that all AML and FATCA /CRS requirements are adhered to;

• Actively participate in planning Key Performance Indicators for the team;

• To manage and contribute to the appraisal process and staff development;

• Managing projects as directed by senior management – providing weekly updates at a minimum and as often as required by VP;

• Being involved in Ad hoc User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as necessary in the implementation of new projects, systems and system enhancements;

• Coordinating new client on-boarding in partnership with the Integration Team;

• Completion of accurate capacity analysis;

• Driving a solution focused team and encouraging a positive working environment;

• Exercise operational oversight within the team and make sound operational decisions;

• Create an environment that is flexible and adaptable and be a champion of change;

• Initiate and oversee tasks within a continuous improvement drive to ensure that the organization is efficient and seen as client and quality driven;

• Ability to effectively work with all levels within the organization.

• Reporting internally to Head of Operations Apex Bulgaria & Head of EMEA Transfer Agency - India;

• Any other duty which is instructed directly by the managing directors in accordance with Article 6.2 of the employment agreement.

Communication:

Manager, Transfer Agency works in direct contact with members of Apex Fund Services Transfer Agency staff and customers under the supervision of the Management and Managing Directors.

Experience and Knowledge:

• University degree in Economics;

• 7+ years of relevant industry/ specialist experience

• Proficiency in English;

• Very good computer literacy;

• Excellent organizational, planning and co-ordination skills;

• A very strong understanding of fund legal structures and the fund administration business;

• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to drive change;
