As a member of the team, this position will play an important role in helping leverage vast troves of data to generate insights and inform decisioning-making for internal clients across the globe.

Working as a Senior Consultant for Workforce Analytics, you will be the primary product owner of HR’s cloud data platform. This role brings in-depth technical and functional experience to build modern analytical solutions to meet critical business needs.  The role involves quickly learning client business use-cases and applying them to modern data architecture principles and will partner with technical teams and business leaders to provide high-level technical solution consulting and project leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a critical initiative to drive model implementation and lead technical analytics to improve data-driven decision making for senior management across Northern Trust.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leads end-to-end product lifecycle from design to implementation of data products such as reports, dashboards, or case studies that can support a business problem.

  • Work with various IT teams in defining technical requirements for data integration with other systems.

  • Acts as the product owner for data products developed by Workforce analytics, ensuring compliance with data governance requirements.

  • Providing innovative, detailed and practical solutions to an extensive range of demanding and complicated problems

  • Implementing statistical models in efficient software languages and coding model prototypes for specification and test cases

  • Coordinating testing through the model implementation, conducting back tests to monitor the model performance, and performing tests to validate the model forecast results

  • Preparing documentation for the technical analysis and rationale through the model development to comply with model oversight and support model review for approval

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence reporting, Finance, Business Analysis, Sales Ops, Sales Compensation or knowledge transferable function.

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, SQL Development, and Programming using a variety of databases (e.g. Snowflake)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Math (or a related field) is required for this role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal oversight, using discretion, experience and data to make strategic recommendations to the business.

  • Works in a proactive and collaborative manner to drive efficiency - eliminating manual processes where possible.

  • Strong data visualization & communication skills and ability to effectively senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
