The Senior Vice President of Marketing & Brand Strategy will transform our in-house marketing capabilities into a best-in-class agency model, driving innovation and excellence across all functions. This role will lead the development and execution of an integrated marketing strategy that elevates our house of brands and supports a diverse property portfolio. This role will be instrumental in shaping the next phase of organizational growth by centralizing marketing operations and fostering a culture of creativity, data-driven decision-making, and brand integrity.

Reports to: Executive Vice President of Marketing & Management Services

Direct Reports: Associate Vice President of Marketing & Creative Services

Indirect Reports: Graphic Design, Digital Services, Social Media, and Photography

Travel: 10%

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, integrated marketing and brand strategy aligned with organizational short- and long-term objectives.
  • Centralize marketing functions and build in-house agency capabilities, driving brand-aligned content strategy and championing marketing technology adoption for data integration, automation, and personalization.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing creative services team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while evolving the organizational structure to meet future needs.
  • Provide strategic vision and direction for the evolving in-house marketing agency, championing best practices and creative innovation.
  • Define and track core marketing KPIs, ensure visibility through dashboards, and translate insights into actionable strategies for field teams with continuous feedback for optimization.
  • Oversee the full brand lifecycle: creation, launch and ongoing stewardship of property-level and corporate brands; ensure brand consistency and integrity across all channels.
  • Refine and grow our House of Brands by ensuring segmentation aligns with brand pillars, while designing and executing brand health surveys and integrating results into KPI reporting.
  • Collaborate with property, development, and  construction teams to address market-specific needs and deliver strategic marketing support, partnering with agencies as needed, while creating brand-aligned leasing and sales environments that integrate customer experience metrics into design and evaluation.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, driving corporate objectives through PR strategy, crisis communications, investor messaging, and alliances, while representing the company externally to media and key stakeholders.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget and P&L responsibility; allocate resources efficiently and measure return on investment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP or equivalent).
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams, ideally within an in-house agency model.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proven expertise in brand strategy, architecture, and corporate identity, with a track record of successfully launching and managing multiple brands.
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial, and creative thinker with strong business acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Deep understanding of the full marketing mix—including creative services, content creation, digital marketing, and analytics—and proficiency with modern MarTech platforms (CRM, automation, analytics).
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and consensus-building abilities across all organizational levels.
  • Adaptable, passionate brand advocate, comfortable in fast-paced environments and attentive to detail and design.
