Payment Specialist (fixed-term)

This is a vital role within the Payable Finance Solutions function—a dynamic, newly created team within Takeda Business Solutions.  

Here, you will help TBS realize our inspiring vision to build and deliver simplified, innovative solutions by unlocking the value of data for our global business. This, in turn, empowers Takeda’s unwavering commitment to patients.  

As a Payment Specialist you will be empowered to process documents and monitor end-to-end invoice flow in order to pay suppliers on time.  Reporting to the AP Payment Team Leader, you will be an innovative, trusted partner to business, our external suppliers and auditors.  Please note that this is a 1-year fixed-term contract role.

Accelerate value & make an impact by: 

• Payment processing in SAP 

• Monitoring payment deadlines and controlling the execution of payments 

• Replying to internal and external queries within agreed SLAs 

• Performing internal controls 

• Effective communication with clients and colleagues 

Required qualifications:  

• Academic background preferably in finance/ accounting / economics 

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in AP area  

• Accounting knowledge in AP area 

• SAP knowledge

• MS Office knowledge (mainly Excel) 

• Fluent English 

• Stress resistance, discipline, dedication 

• Good communication & interpersonal skills 

• Customer orientation 

Preferred qualifications: 

• Improvement-oriented mindset (focused on such techniques as Lean/Kaizen) 

• Interest/experience in external innovations and automation (ERP, WF, Robotics, AI) 

• General curious mindset 

• Building relationships and trust through challenging the status quo 
• Professional experience in BPO/Shared Services
• Additional accounting courses
• Knowledge of Ariba system
