About the role
Job Summary
As a recognized expert in System Safety within the CTO Functional Safety Competence Center, you contribute to the definition and the safety architecture of system safety solution for auto (ISO26262) and industrial (IEC61508). You use your combined knowledge of MBD and safety to guide teams create fault-tolerant innovation with functional safety in mind.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the definition and prototyping stages of system safety concept for auto and robotic solutions
- Participate to the creation and maintenance of safety technology roadmaps, including those of Autonomous Vehicles and Energy Distribution
- Drive cutting-edge innovation topics – influence future SOC / IC roadmaps
- Lead a small team of engineers locally
- Travel domestically and internationally as required
- Define and maintain the Safety MBD lifecycle; deploy it successfully in innovation projects
Your Profile
- An intimate knowledge of ISO-26262 is mandatory, IEC 61508 is nice to have
- 10+ years architecting, designing, and validating safety embedded systems; Automotive environments mandatory, others are nice to have
- 5+ years Technical expertise in MBD; Combined with Functional Safety knowledge is nice to have.
- Good understanding of the responsibility share between supplier and OEM when it comes to product safety
- Recognized as a technical leader in his/her previous experiences
- A first experience as manager is nice to have.
- Desirable: Technical leadership .
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Embedded Systems, with 10 years of industry experience.
