7186 RHC-Lindsay Mobile Mental Health ClinicThe Outpatient Associate Therapist is part of the interdisciplinary team who provides direct assessment, diagnostic formulation, treatment planning, clinical interventions, and psycho-education to patients. The Outpatient Associate Therapist practices under clinical supervision, and is familiar with and has expertise in a variety of treatment modalities. Works with patients across the spectrum of development including geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children while demonstrating cross cultural competence. Majority of the position is spent in direct patient care.QUALIFICATIONS
License /Certification
Required:
Registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences as Associate Social Worker (ASW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
Licensure within six years of hire/transfer. Failure to receive licensure within this time frame will result in termination of employment.
Experience
Required: Previous experience with population to be served and/or work in a behavioral health setting.
Preferred: One or more years of experience providing child, adolescent and/or adult counseling.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experienced in various treatment modalities including individual, group, and/or family systems.
Proficient in treating patient’s across developmental stages.
Ability to identify and implement treatment modalities that will best serve the patient’s needs.
Provides appropriate and timely documentation of clinical encounters in patients’ medical record.
Good writing and verbal skills.
Demonstrates knowledgeable of community resources.
Demonstrates cultural competence and commitment to patients.
Bilingual preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Provides a professional interpretation/evaluation of patient's presentation and recommend a course of treatment.
Completes a timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
Collaborates with primary care specialties and provides clinical consultation in an integrated health care environment regarding patient interactions, sociocultural determinants and community resources.
Utilizes a variety of interpreter services to support the needs of patients.
Adheres to all mandated guidelines for patient's clinical care.
Provides excellent customer/patient satisfaction.
Complies with organizational, departmental, and state/federal practice guidelines.
Abides by all laws, rules, ethics, and codes applicable to the services provided.
Participates in clinical training, individual and group supervision.
Consults with clinical supervisor and/or medical director as needed.
Additional
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care.
