About The Role:
This position operates on a standard schedule of 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and packing a variety of mechanical assemblies using hand tools and bench top equipment. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
This position is based in Emeryville, CA and offered as a 1099 independent contractor role for an initial duration of 3 to 6 months. There may be potential for extension based on project needs and individual performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Follow assembly procedures and work instructions with attention to details.
- Verify the integrity of materials to be assembled according to the assembly procedure and/or work instruction.
- Assemble components in specific orders, using the proper tooling and equipment specified in the procedures / work instruction instructions.
- Visual inspection of components and/or assembly according to procedure / work instruction.
- Identify and report defective components.
- Ensure the accuracy of work-in-process associated with the work cell.
- Maintain cleanliness in your work area and surrounding workspace.
- Fulfill any other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
What You’ll Need:
- Knowledge of ISO9001.
- Ability to use various hand tools such as tweezers, rulers, and cutters tools like torque drivers, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Strong ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in reading procedures, interpreting visual aids, and following mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Precision mechanical component placement and assembly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- [Bonus]: experience in gloveboxes and working under a microscope with small parts.
