What You Will Contribute:
 

Badger Meter is modernizing and transforming its technology landscape, and we’re looking for an ERP Solution Architect to help drive that progress. In this role, you’ll support the technical components of our ERP ecosystem within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. If you enjoy solving complex system challenges, improving processes, and working across teams to keep operations running smoothly, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the organization’s ERP subject matter expert, assessing business needs and recommending platform-agnostic ERP solutions aligned with Badger Meter’s evolving requirements.
  • Lead strategic engagement with ERP vendors, including user group participation, internal outreach, roadmap planning, release management, feature request documentation, cloud operations coordination, and vendor support oversight.
  • Guide ERP migration initiatives with advanced expertise, ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability.
  • Partner with business users to understand operational needs and translate them into effective ERP solutions through project leadership on strategic change initiatives, including initiating those changes where appropriate. 
  • Establish strong partnerships with Operations related functions – including, but not limited to – Procurement, Sourcing, Planning, Scheduling, Production, Quality, Distribution, and Logistics. Leverage those partnerships with other Key departments and functions.
  • Assist with ERP upgrades, migrations, and release management to ensure stability and performance.
  • Work with database technologies (such as DB2 or similar) to maintain data structures that support reporting, analytics, and system integrations.
  • Contribute to a cohesive systems landscape by supporting integrations with tools such as, CRM, CPQ, and document control systems.
  • Participate in cutover planning and deployment activities to ensure smooth transitions during system changes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data consistency, and enhance system reliability across supply chain, finance, operations, and other key functions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems in a technical or functional capacity, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database concepts.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, solve problems, and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment with evolving business needs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
