Role

Shanghai.monks, is looking for an art-based Associate Creative Director to create integrated creative campaign concepts. You understand Chinese youth audiences, digital and social trends, and inspire our clients with smart creativity. You thrive in a creative agency where you get your hands dirty and stretch far to make work that is remembered beyond today.


Responsibilities

  • You’ll spearhead the creation of breakthrough integrated concept decks spanning IMC, social, digital, film, and experiential.
  • You’ll take the lead on pitching and selling high-stakes campaign concepts to senior-level clients with confidence and clarity.
  • You’ll set the overarching visual direction for the brand, ensuring the team delivers "pixel-perfect" craft across every touchpoint.
  • By leading from the front, you’ll infuse your team with creative ambition and actively foster top-tier talent.
  • You’ll own the creative execution of projects, overseeing everything from the initial pitch through final production and delivery.
  • You’ll partner with extraordinary copywriters, creative technologists, and producers across the global .Monks network to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in art-based and conceptual roles within top-tier creative agencies.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Mainland China, paired with a deep understanding of the local social landscape and youth culture.
  • Full professional fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is mandatory.
  • You have a proven ability to manage, inspire, and grow diverse teams of creatives.
  • You’re a genuine sports fan who is as skilled at elevated product storytelling as you are at driving social and community engagement around athletes.
  • A body of work that demonstrates mastery across everything from high-end TVC and KV production to innovative social-first campaigns.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with a track record of winning pitches and building strong client relationships.
