An upcoming retirement has created a rare opportunity to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising and development strategy for Overlake Medical Center & Clinics during a period of significant growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this highly visible role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership.

Key responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising and development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a thought partner and liaison to the CEO, the Governing Board and the Foundation Board.
  • Lead, mentor and support the Foundation staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Fundraising & Revenue Generation:

  • Overseeing all philanthropic revenue streams including institutional giving, individual and major gifts, annual giving and campaigns and special events, initiatives and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, cultivating meaningful, long-term relationships.

Systems, Reporting & Accountability:

  • Use data and reporting to track progress against fundraising goals and inform strategy.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM and development systems.
  • Monitor budgets and forecasting related to development activities.

Qualifications:

We're searching for a proven development executive with exceptional relationship-building, communication, and storytelling skills. You must be passionate, inspirational and skilled at cultivating strong relationships with donors, community leaders and philanthropic partners. It is also essential to be a role model for our ICARE values of integrity, compassion, agility, respect and engagement.

To be considered, your experience should include:

  • Minimum 10 years progressively responsible experience in nonprofit development and fundraising leadership, ideally in healthcare.
  • Demonstrated success securing significant philanthropic revenue across multiple funding streams.
  • Strong understanding of grants, donor relations, and strategic communications.
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and support staff.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience working with Boards and senior leadership.
