About the role
General Description
This position will be responsible for the simulation, design and calibration of control algorithm for various AWD product, including Transfer Case, Coupling, LSD, etc.
Key Accountabilities
- Designing and developing new control algorithms for leading edge all-wheel-drive system products using model-based development method
- Modeling of the control object and algorithm and perform system simulation
- Creating control documentation, software requirements & implement them into the controllers/vehicles
- Evaluating customer specific control logic change request and implement according to customer requirements
- Conducting vehicle dynamics simulation for all-wheel-drive systems to assess control algorithm or product changes
- Testing and calibrating control algorithm in the vehicle to make sure the system provides customer desired balance among multiple targets
- Innovating new algorithm for all-wheel-drive systems control and apply for patent accordingly
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field required
- At least 5 years working experience in AWD system development, familiar with AWD products and AWD vehicle architectures
- Strong control knowledge of control theory and PID implementation
- Strong experience with model-based development tools, such as Matlab/Simulink, HiL, Rapid control prototype.
- Experience in measurement and calibration tools, such as CANape, INCA, CANSAS etc.
- Skilled in use of vehicle network measurement tools
- Very good driving skills, especially in low mu surface
- Rich experience working with local OEM customers
- Good communication skills both internally and externally
- Able to work under pressure
