The Role and Impact Intel is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SoC Power Thermal Performance Validation and Optimization Engineer to join our innovative team. In this critical role, you will lead the definition, development, and execution of validation and optimization plans for System-on-Chip (SoC) power, thermal, and performance across Intel products. Your contributions will directly influence Intel's ability to deliver industry-leading products, ensuring that performance metrics meet or exceed competitive standards while adhering to power and thermal limitations. Key Responsibilities - Define, develop, and implement SoC-level power, thermal, and performance validation and optimization plans to align with Intel's goals. - Conduct detailed power and performance analysis to ensure key performance indicators are achieved and power and thermal constraints are effectively managed. - Drive SoC-level usage optimization under predefined scenarios by creating benchmarks, key performance indicators, and landing zones. - Execute comprehensive validation methodologies and plans, troubleshooting and optimizing designs in collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Perform SoC-level debugging to identify and resolve root causes of power, thermal, and performance-related functional or triage failures. - Develop and deploy validation infrastructure, including performance monitors, behavioral checkers, and state space coverage tools, while configuring and managing test environments. - Publish detailed validation reports summarizing all activities, results, and optimizations, ensuring effective communication with relevant teams. - Partner with architecture, design, verification, firmware, software, and platform teams to refine debug, validation strategies, and methodologies, driving continuous improvement and innovation.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - 0-1+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 0 years with a Master's degree. - Proficiency in SoC power, thermal, and performance validation and optimization methodologies. - Expertise in performance validation, power and performance analysis, and debugging techniques. - Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and C. - Strong understanding of platform components and system architecture. Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - Experience with pre-Silicon or post-Silicon validation methodologies. - Knowledge of performance benchmarking tools and validation processes. - Familiarity with data collection instruments such as DAQs, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes. - Strong technical writing skills, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
